Tadaaa!! Today we are going to introduce this mall! You May heard of Great Eastern in Malaysia or Singapore which is a Insurance business Company. But Great Eastern Mall is no ordinary shopping mall located right at Kuala Lumpur come with the convenience, comfort, safety and health are given top priority, all the time. Besides, it has 6 levels of retail podium and 5 levels of basement car park with 1,400 bays.

1.  KiKu Zakura (Japanese)

Kiku Zakura is a Japanese style restaurant where serve authentic traditional japanese cuisine and its play Japanese songs playing in the background and kimono-clad waitresses serving you since 1998. Its has several branch which located in highest floor of Mid Valley and Tropicana City Mall. 

So here is the Food menu!

The Teriyaki Chicken

When you visit KiKu Zakura, every set meal are provided with rice, Miso soup, salad and fruits. Surprisingly the price was only RM 23 for a plate come with 18 pieces of delicious teriyaki chicken and was enough for 2-3 person.

 Although other restaurant also having same teriyaki chicken taste but Kiku Zakura serves the sauce came with sweet taste and it really delicious with the meat. The chicken skin was crunchy. Worth trying!

The Unaju

Unaju was also known as the Unadon, Its serves with rice which cost only RM33. Quite expensive because the the appearance(As my though) but the eel is steamed before being grilled with sauce, which makes the eel more tender and delicious when having a bite into it. (recommend for individual)

Japanese Bakudan Burger

Tired of ordering burger at MCD or the Ramly Burger at the roadside? Well, The Bakudan Burger  is a wise choice which was included with a choice of gyu (beef), tori (chicken), kani (soft shell crab),  yasai (vegetarian), choice of charcoal bun and also the Fries!

The price are same with the Unaju which is RM33.

 This Bakudan Burger was also known as the soft shell crab burger served with an Onsen Tamago. Which is the egg traditionally cooked with 70C of the hot spring water. Strongly Recommend because it was special compare to other burger.

As my opinion, i do suggest brings friends or family having dinner right here. The service was not bad at all and it was so special that they served hot a Hot Towel before or after having yours meals. So the price was reasonable because its was really delicious but tempura is quite expensive somehow! Do visit and give yourself a try for Japanese Cuisines!

2.  Cozy House (Chinese/Thai)

Cozy house is a restaurant which come with many concept of food such as Hawaii, Western, Chinese food and many more. We drop by to having our lunch right at Cozy house because its quite suitable and seems like a lot people visiting. Lets take a look what we ordered.

The Pandan Chicken

First, The pandan chicken we ordered as first dishes are price at RM21.90  It came with 6 pieces of fairly large deep fried chicken pieces wrapped in pandan leaves. When its hits the table, the first thing you'd smell is the fragrance of the pandan leaves.

When we unwrap the pandan leaves its swiftly appear fried piece of marinated chicken that was still tender.  While trying it the fragrant and well charred sides ended up to be the best parts which 2 bite can finish it. Greatly recommended.

The Chicken Chop

Next, we ordered the chicken chop was cover with brown gravy, green beans and carrot. Also serve with some fries as well. The Chicken chop was dry and over-battered and It didn't use the chicken drumstick but used the wing portion instead. The price was reasonable at RM18.90 which enough for 2 person sharing.

As we doesn't too much food for our lunch because we not really hungry but the food in Cozy house was nice and mostly ordering rice are more worth because its was able to fulfill your stomach and also price are reasonable. But keep note that Cozy house are not certified as HALAL restaurant.

3.  O’Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe (Ireland)

O’Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe is a lifestyle chain cafe founded in 1988 by Brody Sweeney in Dublin, Ireland and has since expanded to over 200 stores worldwide. There are total of 21 outlet in Malaysia and one of their shop are open in Great Eastern mall. 

Well, O'Briens cafe are suitable for eating breakfast or having teatime because their cafe are using the premium ingredients such as salads, wrappos, soups, freshly squeezed juices, refreshing smoothies, gourmet coffees and cakes.

SIGNATURE CROISSANT SANDWICH

The Croissant sandwich come with the ingredient of Egg Mayo, chicken slice and cheese sausage within the soft and pillowy case of the homemade croissant. It is great to consumed while warm and fresh upon serving. The price was at RM 14.80.

 CHICKEN CRISP & BRIE SHAMBO SANDWICH

 The Chicken Crisp & Brie Shambo Sandwich come with toasted with mixed leaves, walnut and cranberry sauce. Price at RM 18.20

TURKEY, SWISS & GUACAMOLE WRAP SANDWICH

Take a look at this Sandwich disguise as a Kebab ! Although is appearance was kebab but it was a special sandwich and come with homemade avocado, red onion, cucumber and lettuce. Price at RM18.20

TUNA SWIZZ MELT SANDWICH

The Pyramid shape sandwich! Toasted with Arand island sauce, mixed leaves, red onion and tomato. Price at RM18.20

PANCAKE

The pancake was freshly made with banana cream taste on top. Its come with 3 layers of pancake, fresh banana, butter and honey. Price at RM13.60

BERRIES DAZZLE

It is a sparkling pink beverage of mixed berries, banana, apple juice, frozen yogurt and crushed ices, freshly blended with purely the essence from the fruits themselves, neither sugar nor water is added for ultimate natural enjoyment. The price was RM14.30

As my opinion, i do suggest for those who emphasize on healthiness. You can mark your destination at O’Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe to enjoy the freshness premium ingredients. Price somehow is reasonable, its depends on what you ordered! Recommended!
